workforce FAQs
Lack of engagement is one of the top reasons workers leave jobs, and keeping employees engaged benefits you and our talent. To drive retention and support your overall workforce needs, we double-down on the employee experience from the beginning. Our generous package of benefits is designed to keep talent engaged with access to health insurance, options to save for retirement, and our Bluecrew loyalty program. We also provide free skill-based training courses to help talent grow and develop, both on the job and in life.
Our recruiting and operations staff are trained to screen, interview, and assess potential drivers based on rigorous DOT and Compliance, Safety, Accountability (CSA) regulations. CDL-licensed drivers must be at least 23 years old and have one year of verifiable driving experience within the last three years, or two years of verifiable experience within the last five years. Non-CDL-licensed drivers must be at least 21 years old and have six months of verifiable experience. In addition, we conduct behavioral testing that has helped our clients improve safety records and morale, reduce turnover, and lower hiring costs.
All drivers must meet DOT regulatory requirements. All new hires must complete a pre-employment drug screen and six PRO-TREAD training modules before their first assignment. After completing those requirements, they are subject to quarterly random drug screenings. We use SuperVision for continuous license monitoring and review all incident reports to determine if a driver is still eligible to work for us. We also conduct monthly safety observations of each driver to identify any areas of concern and enroll all drivers in programs for drug and alcohol education and awareness.
We provide ongoing training for drivers through our Quarterly Safety Challenge modules. In addition to this program, we offer free upskilling opportunities through our Better Worklife Academy, Life Skills Studio, and high school diploma program. We also have invested in technologies such as augmented reality (AR) and virtual reality (VR) so that we stay at the forefront of workforce development.
We strive to provide a positive experience throughout the recruiting, onboarding, and hiring process so that our candidates feel valued. Our strong digital and social media presences make us highly visible online, and our local branch operations and “boots on the ground” efforts and events offer opportunities to connect with candidates in person. Our central recruiting and talent acquisition team actively manages the application-to-hire process to match motivated drivers to our clients’ needs. This approach ensures we can offer a range of desirable opportunities, which attracts more qualified drivers.
At Employbridge, we take pride in understanding our drivers’ needs and our history of innovation. We’re always looking for new opportunities to connect with talent by using the methods they prefer. With our intuitive tech-enabled platforms and the teams in our local branches, we strive to get to know candidates in meaningful ways. When we have a clear understanding of their needs and priorities, we can best match them in jobs where they’ll thrive.
We work closely with you to understand your business and need for drivers so that we can help you flex to staff up or down depending on your business demands. Once we are confident that we understand your needs, we can offer solutions including traditional staffing, digital talent management, or our no hire, rollover, or VIP models.
